n this week's blog we will be directly comparing Facebook pages for 2 beer giants, Sapporo and Stella Artois. First thing I noticed when comparing the 2 is that Stella does not have a dedicated page just for canada and Sapporo does. However, Stella's page is verified by facebook displaying the iconic blue checkmark by its name providing it with more credibility. After analyzing both pages further it seems that Stella is more concentrated on showcasing its involvement in charities and other environmental causes. Unlike stella, Sapporo had more posts showcasing its involvement in major events across canada. They are currently displaying pictures/videos from a even taking place in Montreal Canada called IglooFest. Users are able to upload their own pictures from this event with hashtag #igloofest with a chance to have their picture displayed on Sappors Facebook page. The two facebook pages did have a few things in common they both displayed:
Display visitor posts
Display pictures
Tabs (About, Photos, Locations etc.)
Ability to share content
50/50 with content and discussion
Like posts
Both pages follow the format of the typical Facebook page, blue borders and a wall in the middle. Stella however, has a “shop now” button that directs you to a third party site called Beer Boutiques and allows you to purchase their product directly online. They also have a considerably larger likes on facebook with almost 9,000,000. Included below are some pictures of the 2 facebook pages and the focus of their page posts.
