When it
comes to utilizing the social media website Facebook, Budweiser defiantly has
the advantage over Heineken. Budweiser posts quite frequently with its last
post being February 1st.
Heineken on
the other hand has not made a post since June 30th, 2015.
Budweiser
has a lot of its posts related with its rich history as well as its deep
involvement with North American
sports. Heineken also post about its involvement in sports mostly with
the UEFA Champions league as
they are the competitions leading sponsor. Heineken also focuses on the night
life aspect of drinking and has a lot of posts supporting their brand while at
events. When it comes to success Budweiser has to be the clear choice although
their recent post don’t have as many likes as Heinekens, Budweiser post on
their page frequently and get people talking about their brand on Facebook
something that Heineken has failed to do.
Budweiser seems to follow the 50/50 rules better than Heineken, they
have a good balance of promotion and new content which makes them more
appealing to users of Facebook when compared to the inactive Heineken.
