Budweiser vs. Heineken

When it
comes to YouTube Budweiser just had a majorly successful commercial that was
posted online. It gained waves for the super bowl as it was one of the half
time commercials that everyone wants to see sometimes they are more interested
in that than the game. The commercial was called “Born the Hard Way”. The commercial was watched by over 28 million people and was
released around 2 weeks ago. The video had a total of just over 12,000 comments after being out
only 2 weeks. Budweiser has around 140,000
subscribers on their YouTube Channel and they post around one video
every month. Most videos that are posted on their channel are commercials with
the few that are adventure videos showing people travel with the help of a cold
Budweiser by their side.
Heineken
has had recent success in their videos as well but nowhere near the 28 million
views of the Budweiser super bowl commercial. Heinekens success comes in a
video that is titled “Traditions”.
This video was released back in November of 2016 and has around 650,000 views oddly enough it
only has one comment to date. Could this be a case of Heineken buying views? Or
maybe people were just watching the YouTube video from other sites that didn’t
allow people to comment? I found this strange no matter what the reason is.
Heineken has 228,000 subscribers
which beats out Budweiser in this category. They post on average one video
every month and they are mostly commercials of their product with the odd
advertisement that endorses UEFA Champions League.
