In recent
times Heineken has been lacking in social presence on all of its major sites
besides YouTube. I feel like they can be doing a much better job in taking
advantage of social media to get their name out and in the scene again. The
marketing campaign I intend to run for Heineken is one that will make their
green bottle the most popular beer brand in the world. Using twitter, Facebook
and Instagram we will run a campaign using the hashtag #greenbottlebeer. This is intended to get people to
associate the green bottle with Heineken rather than any other company which
has green in its bottles. We will run commercials and also adds utilizing the
SEO and paid ads this will get our campaign out to the public fast. The
audience we are targeting will be young adults aged 19-29 this is prime
territory to get a foothold on the competition and make Heineken the beer they
choose for their next outing. The goal is to get Heinekens social media pages
buzzing again, we want to make sure we are constantly posting games or updates
on our campaign so people will constantly check in to see if they win the grand
prize of a trip to Amsterdam to see this special beer be produced. We will be launching
the frist day of may 2017. This will give us time to set up ads and proper promotions
to make sure the campaign runs smoothly. I feel this will attract beer
enthusiasts because they can get a trip to the motherland of Heineken and they
get to enjoy a legendary beer that has been around for a very long time. If
this runs smoothly we can hope to see Heineken and #greenbottlebeer at the top of everyone’s mind and the heart
of their next party.
